THE MARTIAL ARTS TRAINING APP USED BY OLYMPIANS
- MADE FOR EVERYONE
Changing the way we think of training
Our mission is to help every martial arts athlete to become the best they can - by helping their coach. We do it by building the most powerful and accessible analysis and training app in martial arts.
We are firm believers that coaching and training based on facts and analysis holds the key to unlock the potential of every coach and every athlete. We call it evidence based coaching. And by making it easy and accessible for everyone – we help both Olympians and regular club athletes to unlock their true potential.
It all began with Judo
There must be a better way
It all began with Judo and piles of paper. When founder and CEO, Nicklas Björklund, was coaching one of Sweden’s best judo clubs, he wanted to take a more scientific approach to coaching and training. He asked his athletes to fill in evaluation forms after each competition. And the pile grew.
After, once again, spending his summer holiday evaluating and analyzing match reviews – he had enough. No more loose sheets of paper, messy spreadsheets and miscommunication between the athletes’ different coaches.
There must be a better way of helping my athletes become the best they can, he thought. He quit his day-job and used his background in IT to build the first version of Athlete Analyzer, influencing Swedish Judo for many years to come.
The martial arts scene
We do it together
It all started with listening closely to the martial arts scene and realizing there must be a better way. We have come quite far since 2014, but we’ve never stopped listening. One of our most valuable assets is our network of martial arts coaches and athletes across the world.
With their help – your help – we continue to find better and easier ways of reaching insights and finding the keys that take your coaching and training to the next level. Today, Olympians, national team athletes and regular club athletes all across the world use Athlete Analyzer to become better coaches and athletes.
